First of all, a HUGE thank you to Davina, Jessica, Jeff, Brent, Don (and anyone else who 
showed up who I forgot), for helping during the Sunday, May 20th Saratoga Safety Fair at West Valley College. We had an excellent presence at the event and had the opportunity to “unveil” our new CERT supply trailer. The Safety Fair included presentations on home safety, personal safety, etc. and general preparedness. We all did our best to promote CERT and educate those in attendance about the importance of emergency preparedness.
MEETING CANCELED
IMPORTANT NOTICE – There will be no general CERT meeting this week. With the current Saratoga CERT Academy having their final class on Thursday, we will not be holding a general membership meeting.
CERT Academy Graduation
ALL CERT members are invited to attend / participate in the Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 26th in the parking lot behind the Community Center. Beginning at 9:30 and ending about noon, come and meet our newest CERT!
Save the Date
Last, but not least, SAVE THE DATE of September 6th for a city-wide Emergency Response Exercise. We will be playing in the morning between 9am and 11am. You will receive more information as we get closer to fall, but you should expect to receive an action notice and be asked to respond at some level. Be prepared, mark your calendars!
